This program aims to provide the trainees to familiarize with the requirements, equipment, hardware, and methodology of performing and demonstrating Mechanical inspections which is tailored with the international best practice standards to ensure the young Saudi’s are appropriate to the Saudi labor market and cultural norms.
The purpose of this program is to assure that the young Saudi’s meets national social and economic needs, in particular by ensuring that trainees entering the labor market have the skills, knowledge and competencies that employers demand. This will accelerate the progression of young Saudis into well-paid jobs and promising careers which is considered vital to the country’s future prosperity.
The qualification contains units that address three key areas of employability such as ability to manage own work, ability to work effectively as a member of a team, and ability to work professionally in a company. This three employability units cover the essential knowledge and understanding of how to work in an employment situation and will prepare the trainee for periods of work experience.
Plan and prepare work to ensure OHS policies and procedures are followed, and the work is appropriately sequenced in accordance with requirements
Consult appropriate personnel to ensure the work is coordinated effectively with others involved
Plan work in line with objectives and deadlines
Review and reflect on the outcomes of own personal plans, and identify learning points to improve future work planning activities
Follow OHS policies and procedures for undertaking administrative functions
Access, read and interpret information in engineering publications and other documentation used in day-to-day work, and apply to work activities
Read and interpret engineering specifications and drawings correctly, and apply the information during engineering duties in accordance with established engineering practice established routine/procedures
Obtain and interpret engineering information, procedures, instructions and directions and apply in the course of engineering duties
Enter engineering information into a computer using a keyboard and other relevant peripheral equipment
Establish engineering practice for the operation, checking, maintenance and repair of the organization’s plant, machinery, equipment and systems
Obtain various documents that will be used (such as safety handouts, drawings, planning documentation, work instructions, maintenance records, technical manuals, reference manuals and reference tables/charts) and how to check that they are current and valid
Locate and identify the equipment to be tested
Establish the current operational status
Confirm compliance with all isolation requirements
Implement the relevant combination of testing, sampling and diagnostic techniques
Implement the relevant combination of technical and engineering procedures
Identify deviations from normal operational parameters
